Matenga Ashby

Matenga brings to Scope a wealth of experience. He has worked as a Junior project Manager with Ngāpuhi and was employed at AKAU design and architecture where he learned how to facilitate with local Taitamariki, Communities, Hapu, Papakainga.

Matenga has a passion for empowering families into warm healthy homes and creating sustainable Communities, Papakainga, Hapu, and Iwi.

Matenga was nominated by Northland Inc to receive the Rangatahi Leadership Development Award and was the proud recipient for his work with Prehome now Kainga Hub which he founded in 2022.

Fun fact: you might recognise Matenga from his role in the recent NZ movie Baby Done, where he played the supporting role of Sunny.
