“I’m proud to be born and bred in Whangārei and to now have the opportunity to impact my community through my work at Scope. I completed my trade qualification in Carpentry at 20 and was a top graduate in my class. My 13+ years’ construction industry experience in New Zealand and Australia has proven invaluable to my work today - it’s important to understand the foundation and fundamentals before progressing further into the construction industry. My training and work experience have provided me extensive construction know-how, and I get a lot of fulfilment out of bringing that knowledge to our projects at Scope.”

With qualifications in carpentry and architectural technology, and current studies in construction management, Tohi brings unique on-the-ground design and construction industry experience to our Scope Team. His knowledge base and experience provide him a keen ability to understand project processes from design to construction, from the consultant and contractor’s side to the project management perspective. These strengths make Tohi a well-rounded Project Manager comfortable in collaborating closely with our clients, site managers, architects, trade contractors, and project administrators on various project aspects.

At Scope, Tohi is involved in a variety of Kāinga Ora, Ministry of Education, and commercial projects in Te Tai Tokerau Northland.
