The Scope team were engaged for both project management and quantity surveying services, so we were involved in the finer details from the very beginning of the project.”
Originally the old Courier Post building on Rewa Rewa Road in Whangārei, the site was completely refurbished to become a high-end Mercedes Benz dealership. The intricate details of the project were evident from the beginning. The Scope team’s attention to detail was required throughout the construction process, from managing the finances and budgets through to ensuring the finishes were to spec as per the Mercedes Benz brand requirements. The new 2,200 square metre Mercedes dealership has a showroom, offices, workshops and parts areas. The exterior of the site has a display and parking area with extensive landscaping.
The Scope team managed the project from the planning phase through to completion, working closely with the client, consultants, the main contractor NPM Construction, and the architect HB Architects. Scope implemented and managed the NZS3910 contract between the client and the main contractor and was the Project Engineer to the Contract (ETC).
