Mokau Marae Rebuild – Whangārei
The original Mokau Marae tragically burnt down in 2013 with the Ngātiwai Trust Board approaching Scope in 2014 to gain their support to rebuild the marae and bring their vision to fruition. It was an easy decision for Ben and the Scope team to support the Mokau Marae community and be instrumental in the success of this project.
Scope were involved through all stages of the project by assisting the client with complex funding applications, value engineering and managing the construction of the build. There were many hurdles to overcome but Scope were determined to see this project completed for iwi members to rebuild and reconnect with the place where their whare once stood ensuring a sense of belonging and a foundation for future generations.
The team at Scope worked tirelessly on this project and it has been an honour to be a part of this community project.
